FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
Can you make a replica of a piece of jewelry for me?
Unfortunately, I do not copy other people's designs.
What materials do you work with?
Basically I always work with 18 carat yellow gold and 925 silver (this is first grade sterling silver).
Upon request, I can also make some jewelry from the collection in white or red gold, and/or in 14-karat gold. This also applies to some wedding and engagement rings.
I do not silver or gold plate jewelry.
What is the difference between 14 and 18 karat gold?
The difference between 14 karat (58.5% gold) and 18 karat (75% gold) is the percentage of pure gold in the total.
18 carat gold is more valuable and deeper in color and is therefore my preference.
14 carat gold is a little harder, less deep in color, but also a little more affordable.
You can recognize 14 carat gold by the stamps with 585 or 14k
You can recognise 18 carat gold by the stamps 750 or 18k.
Can you also make jewelry from your own old gold and silver?
In almost all cases, this is possible! Keep in mind that cleaning, remelting, and reusing scrap gold and silver also takes time and effort, and therefore the cost savings don't always materialize. I'd be happy to provide you with a quote.
Do you also repair jewelry?
In many cases, I can repair a piece of jewelry for you. I don't repair gold-plated and silver-plated jewelry, nor large silverware. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.
For some repairs I would like to refer you to a jeweler.
Keep in mind that some repairs can be very labor-intensive and therefore quite an investment. I always discuss the costs and conditions before starting the repair.
How do I find out what my ring size is?
You can order the ring sizer in the webshop. I'll send it to you, and after measuring your finger correctly, you can tell me the size. Read the description of the ring sizer carefully. If you're unsure, you can also email me a photo of the ring sizer on your finger.
Would you like to receive the newsletter?
No weekly advertising, but rather an occasional story about me and my work.
News, discounts, special occasions, things that keep me busy.
