Plains

The Plains collection is based on a Greek hairpin from the 5th century BC. The head is that of a gazelle that walked across the plains of Egypt and Syria. The elegance, speed and innocence that this animal radiates was a great source of inspiration for the Greeks and other cultures in that area. I cut the head by hand from wax and had a mold made. New prints of gold and silver can be made from this mold again and again. I then forge a new piece of jewelry with these particles.
